About Ordell - Evolution of The Idea and its Relevance

Introspection led to this Action

“What do you want to be?"

The moment someone said that, “I wanted to apparate like Harry Potter!!!” A question intriguing and yet so irritating…

“I want to be me!!!” I wanted to shout, but the answer everyone wanted to hear was me taking the role someone we knew had already taken. No one wanted to really know what I desired and yearned to be but a manifestation of their expectations,

“Don’t be wild, Beta, look at something secure and safe like your Uncle.”

Similar story with different characters and slightly altered situations but essentially the same in essence; every exam, every step was a do or die situation, “Be serious about your Career”, Parents thundered and we hapless kids wondered, “Why so serious”

It wasn’t wrong to be serious; it is one of most important and life altering decisions, the choices we made for the sake of our career. But looking back we always wondered, was the journey supposed to be so excruciating?

The reality of our Education system is that, it educates us well but employs not so well. There is a huge gap in skills and knowledge acquired and required. Add to this, the perception of safe career of the majority and the result is Widespread unemployment and Shortage of skilled man-power co-existing. Ironically our aspirations are limited about what we want to become professionally resulting in a herd like mentality and a stubborn refusal to comprehend the opportunities available.

Our own personal experiences and of many friends got us thinking, it was sad to see such young and talented minds languishing with routine jobs which were neither exciting nor remunerative. Most of them lament the path they choose going for a conventional career and wonder what if they had defied conventions.

All this culminated into a firm determination to do something socially relevant contributing towards building a successful Nation.

Our entrepreneurial zeal with the intent of improving education delivery and employability of the youth led to the conception of Ordell…
